The Stampede begins at our lot...
When the roads begin to fill with too many trucks and you are unsure if you will be able to squeeze onto your lot to see whats next. This is the position we find us in today. Do you think we could make it?Kidding! But we sure we're ready with our cameras for this one. LET THERE BE CONCRETE!
The building blocks to our future began today and we watched as the concrete mixed and swirled in their concrete truck and poured down creating the foundation that we will watch our babies grown on.
We have seen some bumps and bruises along the way but we are grateful to be here today. Our foundation was cleared the first week of February and now here we are the first week of May and the slab is being laid. This is certainly not for those that like things to be done and like to know the timing... because folks today we are just glad to hear when they say something will be started. But with foundation comes our first DRAW. As I mentioned before we are building on our own lot. If you own yours outright you may not have a monthly "mortgage" but we still owed a little on our lot (I am happy to talk numbers to anyone asking, but I am not choosing to post it on here.) But we have a monthly interest only payment of about $115. So with the concrete they contacted us about needing more money. We were requested to pay for the PAD, PERMITS, PLUMBING GROUNDS and FOUNDATION/SLAB. We were increased to $195 monthly.
We expect to see progress in the coming weeks. So stay tuned as you travel with us... the TravelingWards
