Be Our Guest

Now that that our build has **OFFICIALLY** begun we are proud to announce we are able to WELCOME Friends, Strangers and Enemies... The first item to be dropped off was a trash can, and the second was a port-a-potty 🚽. But don’t get too excited, indoor plumbing has not yet begun. So maybe I should only be welcoming Enemies

As we have mentioned before we are building in a subdivision. So while they are prepping our land we are waiting on Subdivision approval AND utilities. WE WERE TOLD WE HAD WATER!

For a BUILD ON YOUR LOT, just a reminder we owned our property. When we closed on the Build in late September 2021, utilities were a line item that will be included in the build, but the utility company was not someone that wanted to do work without payment. So for us, this was an upfront fee that we can request reimbursement back from the builder (I am happy to disclose any prices for anyone interested in this).

This did not happen without mishap...

With water brought the craziness of our first construction manager changing. We are building in an already established neighborhood. So luckily we found that we did NOT need a well and instead could easily call for a TAP! We arranged for the TAP (meaning the city was already out there and could put water onto our lot without too much issue, price or concern) they expected the box to be easily located and exposing the meter... Not entirely sure what that means. But it wasn't. Somehow, for some reason, this was not properly done by someone and the utilities company had to come back out...

So when we received the confirmation that utilities were on the lot the excitement really started. Then we saw these bright boxes and the excitement was overwhelming. It was really beginning. We knew this meant that change was in the air.

Now.... when will everything else begin??? The world may never know....
