Choosing to build on your lot requires a lot of time and effort and know we are here to help! 

The lot. First, choosing the lot. Do you have an area in mind? Have we already purchased the lot? We can help narrow down the areas and help you find a lot! 

The builder. Who do you plan to build with? I think it’s a great idea to have a builder in mind first. If you’re do, then when choosing the lot they can assess and ensure you can do what your are planning to do on your land. But we can discuss your wants and hopes in a home and we can help you decide on a builder. 

Your Financing. Your financing is important and not all lenders work with construction loans. It important to shop around, but know we can help when you are looking for the right lender. 

The plans. Once your have the builder chosen we will work hand and hand with the builder to organize, design and plan your home.

Hi! I’m Jennifer Ward. My husband, Jason and I, along with our two boys have decided to build our dream home.  We purchased our lot in north San Antonio back in 2014. Meeting with builders and trying to decide on who we wanted to work took us... 7 years. But as we approached 2021, we decided to sell the home our children grew up in, move into our RV and build our dream home. 

Who are we? We are both real estate agents with Keller Williams Legacy in San Antonio, Texas. My husband is also active in the US Army and we know all too well that times get busy. Life happens. We both work, but know the importance of family time and decided NOW was our time. No more waiting. We were going to do it. So here we are. In my many years of real estate I have helped people buy homes, buy investments, buy land even. We have BUILT homes, bought new homes, pre owned home. We have sold homes, sold investments and sold land. We have helped families relocating around the world. What I’ve never done, what we’ve never done.. was to build on your own lot. I’ve never helped one of my buyers that bought that land to BUILD ON IT! So I’m so excited that my first, our first time, is together.

So let’s learn together about the fun times that building on your lot can be. You will get to hear the good, the bad and the ugly. I’m not looking to do anything but help you. Educate you. Help your curiosity, if you have any. My idea is to help you understand the process. I will provide you with contacts that I have chosen to use, but know that there are MANY PROFESSIONALS out there and we are available to offer you suggestions to all of them.
