When we moved into our home last year we really just left the outside as a CLEAN SLATE. We were not sure what we wanted or what we hoped to add. 

Then we began thinking and wondered if A P⇢O⇢O⇢L was the obvious next step. So we called all the different pool companies we could think of--

Each company that came out was given the same basic wants list from us and as they would come over the designs would simply get SO MUCH BETTER... (we noticed our wants began to change.) To us the outdoor seating and space for people to sit was SO important. We wanted a hot tub and appeal. Which do you like? 

Price wise sure there were some that were more expensive and some that were less, but we wanted our vision and figured the rest would work itself out. In no particular order we had these 6 companies out.

We would receive still photos, 3D renderings and videos. Really each company did a great job. There was only one company NOT MENTIONED above that came back with a very MODERN, rectangular pool which was NOTHING like what we wanted (so out of courtesy, I am just not adding them.)

I estimate each company needed a week to render a drawing, some were faster and some were slower. Some made us come into the office to see the final product and others just emailed. We enjoyed going into a showroom because the pool and surrounding project was placed on a 50+ inch tv for us to really get a picture of! Out of the 6 pool companies we went into 3 showrooms. It was nice to learn about what the insides of the pool would be made of and choose exterior stone. But in the beginning stages its silly and I just wanted to see designs and talk price. There was ONE company that wanted me to send a pre approval (which in real estate I agree we don't look at homes before obtaining one) but I had NO CLUE what the cost was and didn't want to talk with someone that wouldn't design first. So I had 7 companies that I called but did not have one come out. When he called to see if I was ready I told him we had others that had come out and then he jumped at the chance. I did not choose to have him render a drawing. (I also DID NOT post his name). I want to add we originally had half of them out, and although we liked one. It didn't really pop for us. We waited a year and had the others out. We are working with one company and I look forward to you following us through the process.
