Let The Fun Begin.

Like Most Things. We Begin With A Solid Foundation.

You are sorta looking at the front door/entryway on the left and from my office. Quickly after the slab was poured we noticed the plumbing was found coming up from the floors. As we began to walk our dream plan we started to question the size from this area to that area... was this really going to work for us? Was this too small? *** As a real estate agent I completely understand the SLAB looks smaller without walls and separation***

In the garage we paid to upgrade the size by pushing the garage from wall to doors another foot (my husband was convinced his Texas sized truck wouldn't fit in a 'normal garage'). So here he was walking toe to heel counting how many feet this garage was. "Jenn are you sure this was the right size?"

We did find ourselves pulling out the blueprints and checking measurements. When I finally calmed down the husband to know the measurements WERE correct we just hoped and prayed for the best and I told him only time would tell.

So here we have it. The slab for what might be our dream home, or a real bust and we made it too small. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

On the build side, since foundation was poured someone that has a CONSTRUCTION loan may begin to see DRAWS. What this means (at least with our builder) is that an inspection has been conducted, receipts have been approved and they are requesting funds to pay for the process.
** I have seen people and heard of the horror stories of giving contractors money and them running off with it. All I have to say there is.
1) you get what you pay for
2) work with a company that you trust
3) Even when building you want to work with a real estate agent, our job is ensure YOU are protected.
4) If you didn't understand it the first time, USE AN AGENT! >>>ME<<<

Timeline (all builders and homes are different-- but here is mine)
  • We purchased our lot in 2014
  • January 2020-March 2021 we really decided it was time to build and interviewed and sat down with builders.
  • March 2021 we created our plan and began with Sierra Classic
  • Financed our home, To Be Build/ Construction loan and did a one time closing Sept 2021
  • nothing really started to happen until Clearing March 2022
  • foundation May 2022
  • Our 'mortgage' has been interest only we will now see a payment due in an amount to not exceed about $300.
When you are ready to take the next step I would love to assist!
