Let the games begin. And by games I mean the build!
By now we all know we are building a home. We sold our home in September of 2021. Most of the family moved into our travel trailer while my husband took off to spend a year (or more) in El Paso. Our lives were changing each day... until the change became so much that I put my foot down. While building we decided to purchase a small home that we can turn into a rental in the years to come. It's been a dream of mine to have another rental and passive income for each of us in the family. So 1 of 4 down. SCORE ME!
As we entered 2022, not much had changed. Approvals were finally going through and we received the first CALL.... we're clearing the lot this week!
As funny as this may be nothing started to be done until the WEEK of my closing on this soon to be rental.
The kids asked if the builder thought maybe we'd change our mind and not build?
Hey if that's what it took for them to start working, so be it. But as I look at the LOAN we already took out for the build, the monthly INTEREST PAYMENT WE ARE MAKING. I giggle. Boys, mom and dad already paid for everything. They work, we pay them. I do not really think they were waiting for the soon to be rental. LOL
