Selling to prepare for the BUILD!

The interim?

When we decided we were ready to build (finally), we also decided that we were going to sell, move into our RV Camper and live happily ever after. Obviously we would save money and not have any added stress in selling and building or wondering if when the build was complete, COULD WE SELL? Plus, in todays market, things were selling and buyers were unable to find anything. So we wanted to take this opportunity to JUST DO IT!

But our family dynamics quickly changed. My husband, who is currently serving on Active Duty with the US Army... decided this was the PERFECT time to move him. Great timing right? But this was NOT going to stop us. We organized a move with the military, SOLD everything we owned, packed up what we wanted to keep and just put EVERYTHING in storage. Our children would learn a little about growing up without for a short time being and we were completely okay with that.

We quickly forgot Jason was going to need to fill a one bedroom apartment in the new duty station, so what we couldn't get out of the storage area he bought.... our first mistake. Ever heard of the 3P's.... you will quickly learn we had very PISS POOR PLANNING as we excitingly made this decision.

Jason moved West and got himself an apartment. The kids and I made our way into the RV. It was a little hot over the summer, and the AC just blew, and blew... and like the pigs in the nursery rhyme continued to BLOW my money down the drain... But we made it work. The kids are so busy and we don't have much time to spend in the RV anyway.

Storage was tight, space was lacking, but we all made it work. Remember we were saving money! But wait... I was paying for Jason to live, travel back and forth to San Antonio and to stay in the RV and electrical and water, we were paying for storage and traveling back and forth to everything we do....

WHERE WAS THE MONEY SAVINGS AGAIN?

So let me quickly DEBUNK that. We were not saving anything. During the month of November Jason came to visit for a week, then we had a surprising house guest for another week. Both were great times. But quickly we realized there is just no space.

As we decorated for the holidays the kids realized that we were really living without and they had none of the fun holiday traditions they were always so use to. Showing and driving to the bathrooms is becoming more difficult and warm weathered clothing takes up SO MUCH MORE ROOM.

So.... the boys and I have decided to look into a home. We need a place to live and NOTHING is being done on the new build. So wish us luck as our adventures continue.

Below you will see our 36 foot trailer. We have a separate master, kids have a separate room with bunkbeds, a tv and a small living area. We have a bathroom, a kitchenette with HUGE dining table, and a living area with a coach and tv. Outside you will see our additional trailer used as storage/closet... PS AVAILABLE FOR FREE RENT IF USING ME TO BUY OR SELL FOR YOUR MOVE. And plenty of outdoor space! And not to mention an outdoor kitchen, fridge, stovetop and tv!

This was always a favorite spot in summer weekend adventures. STAY TUNED... This trailer may be up for SALE next!
